Roberto Silva, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA (or Berto as many people call him) learned about ABA while working as a behavior intervention specialist in a middle school. After researching ABA, he discovered how much potential it has to help individuals with autism. That’s when he switched from being a special education teacher to a BCBA.
Now as the Clinic Director of the Alamo location, Berto helps kids of all ages by finding replacement behaviors. He loves working with struggling kids and helping them discover new, more appropriate skills, improving their quality of life.

ABA Connect teaches five foundational skill sets crucial for your child’s development. These skills are taught through our specialized programs listed below. During the intake process, your child’s BCBA will help identify the right program fit for your child and family. We also offer services in three different ways: clinic-based, home-based, and parent training. Depending on your location, we will determine the overall optimized programming to help your child make progress while having fun!
Comprehensive clinic-based learning, age-appropriate skill development, self-advocacy tools, play-based therapy, and social interactions for children aged 2 to 5 with autism.
For children aged 4 to 6, structured learning, self-advocacy tools, and social interactions in a clinic setting help ensure a well-rounded foundation for academic and social success.
Empowers children aged 8 to 12 with autism, fostering life skills, independence, and personal growth via individualized plans, supportive learning, and a positive atmosphere.
Enhance social skills and peer interactions for children aged 7 to 12 through our after-school program, fostering conversation, emotional regulation, and friendship building in a clinic-based group setting.
One of our clients in Alamo had minimal skills, only spoke a few words, and repeated the same actions over and over. So our therapists worked with the parents and trained them to use ABA therapy techniques at home. They met for an hour once a week for training. After some time, the child learned more words and could use sign language and an AAC device. The parents also learned about ABA and how to respond to their child’s behavior.
